  • Engineers Without Borders Builds Bridge in Mexico
EWB took approximately 20 students, faculty and staff to Las Boquillas, Mexico for the construction phase of a new bridge.
In August and September 2008, extreme flooding occurred in the eastern slopes of the Sierra Madre in western Chihuahua. Hardest hit was the municipio (county) of Satevo where fifteen communities had major infrastructure damage. The community of Las Boquillas, in the southern part of the municipio, was isolated by the flood water for more than two weeks. The only road into the community was washed out and impassible.
